Much Ado About Nothing is a light-hearted romp set in Italy, telling the story of Benedict and Beatrice, Claudio and Hero and a raft of other characters. It was last performed by Shakespeare at Traquair 15 years ago, so we were delighted to be doing it again. Scott Noble, one of the original cast from 2003, directed the play.

Beatrice and Benedick at the masked ball Is there a better location for a masked ball than the beautiful grounds of Traquair House?

Dogberry and Verges are on the case Matt Davies (Dogberry) and Verges (Boyd Wild) had to master a rather bizarre tricycle and never really did!

Audience and Traquair House on a beautiful evening Traquair House is probably the real star of the show.

Rehearsals

Scott Noble was keen to have the rehearsals at Traquair House, so this meant some of the early ones were a bit snowy!

But the sun also shone and later rehearsals were blessed with lovely weather.
